British indie rock band The Vaccines will return to China in September 2026 for a special anniversary tour presented by Resonate Cities. Visiting Shanghai and Hangzhou, the tour celebrates the 15th anniversary of the band’s acclaimed debut album, What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?. Audiences can expect a full performance of the landmark record alongside a selection of songs spanning the band’s career.

Released in 2011, What Did You Expect from The Vaccines? established the London quartet as one of the defining new voices of British indie rock. With its infectious guitar hooks, concise songwriting, and youthful energy, the album introduced fan favourites including If You Wanna, Post Break-Up Sex, and Wreckin’ Bar (Ra Ra Ra), and remains one of the standout British guitar records of the 2010s.

Over the past fifteen years, The Vaccines have continued to evolve through albums including Come of Age, English Graffiti, Combat Sports, Back in Love City, and their latest release, Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations. While exploring new musical directions, the band has consistently retained the direct melodies, emotional honesty, and guitar-driven sound that first defined their identity.

Renowned for their energetic live performances, The Vaccines have appeared at major festivals including Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds, earning a reputation as one of Britain’s most compelling live bands. The upcoming China tour offers audiences a rare opportunity to celebrate fifteen years of one of modern British indie rock’s defining debut albums while revisiting the band’s evolution through an unforgettable live performance.
