Gia Wang

Gia Wang is a avant-garde music artist and composer from Beijing. Her musical compositions explore the fusion of analog synthesizers and electronic orchestration. Her primary method of creation is improvisation, particularly for the orchestral melody parts, which are completed in an improvisational manner during a single recording session, thus giving her music a sense of freedom and mystery. Her works present a non-formulaic and diverse nature.

Gia's composition style follows the atonality proposed by Schoenberg. She believes that the combination of 21st-century composition with electronic music requires breaking free from serialism and the fixed cyclic patterns of sequencers, and challenging the concept of serialism dominating electronic music. She allows the modulation waveforms of the synthesizer to change freely and without repetition, blending this strong rock-colored waveform with orchestral music.
