This Mid-Autumn Festival, the Super Strawberry Music Festival will meet music fans in two cities, Guangzhou and Shijiazhuang. In addition to the previously announced international artist lineup, a number of representative musicians from different countries and regions including the UK, Scotland, Germany, Thailand, and more will also take the stage, such as TOMORA, Belle and Sebastian, Einstürzende Neubauten, Phum Viphurit, The Cribs, The Vaccines, and more.
This international lineup covers various music styles and cultural backgrounds, from Scottish indie pop, British guitar rock, to Berlin experimental industrial music, Southeast Asian indie pop, and cutting-edge electronic music. Among them, the electronic music limited group TOMORA, which has been highly anticipated at international music festivals in 2026, will make its Chinese debut; Belle and Sebastian will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic album “If You’re Feeling Sinister” with a nine-member lineup; Einstürzende Neubauten will arrive in China for the first time as a full band; and The Vaccines will return once again with a 15th anniversary tour of their debut album.
A number of international artists will come to Guangzhou and Shijiazhuang this Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing voices from all over the world to the Strawberry Music Festival with different musical languages.
TOMORA: Chinese Debut, the Limited Group Highly Anticipated at 2026 International Music Festivals
In October 2025, when Coachella announced the lineup for the 2026 music festival, a name that had barely been made public before appeared in the third-day lineup – TOMORA.
TOMORA is not a traditional long-standing group, but a new music project centered around international large-scale music festival live performances. The two creators from different musical worlds reconnect on the basis of the sound experience they have accumulated in their respective careers, exploring the relationship between electronic music, vocals, live visuals, and physical expression.
The collaboration between the two actually had its roots long ago. In 2016, Tom Rowlands first watched AURORA perform live at Glastonbury, and since then, both have gradually appeared in each other’s musical compositions. AURORA participated in the creation of The Chemical Brothers’ album “No Geography,” while Rowlands was involved in the production of AURORA’s 2024 album “What Happened to the Heart?” Multiple collaborations have gradually formed a shared creative language between the two musicians.
In December 2025, TOMORA was officially announced, and the first single “Ring The Alarm” was released. In April 2026, the debut album “Come Closer” was released. The album overlaps elements of psychedelic, Trip-hop, Techno, and electronic dance music, with The Chemical Brothers’ strong, mechanical, and impactful electronic sounds colliding with AURORA’s ethereal and emotionally charged vocals, forming a sound system that combines dreaminess with dance floor energy.
The core of “Come Closer” also points to “connection.” The two musicians strive to find the possibility of getting closer to each other between people, between reality and technology, and in a world that is increasingly easy to lose connection. “Come closer” not only becomes the name of the album but also becomes an important clue for TOMORA’s live experience.
The live performance of TOMORA is also built on the combined effect of music, visual, and physical expression. Tom Rowlands builds an electronic sound field with synthesizers, samplers, and programming, while AURORA and Amalie are responsible for singing, percussion, and physical performance in front of the stage. Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall, who have been involved in The Chemical Brothers’ live production for many years, are responsible for the live visual concept, and Amit Lahav of Gecko Theatre participates in action direction and choreography, together constructing a complete audio-visual live experience.
In March 2026, TOMORA completed their first live performance in Manchester and London. Subsequently, they have successively appeared on the stages of international music festivals such as Coachella, Colours of Ostrava, Dour, Les Vieilles Charrues, and concluded their Asian debut with a headlining performance at the White Stage of this year’s Fuji Rock Festival.
The overseas media’s attention to TOMORA’s live performance is not limited to the music itself. After the Manchester debut, “1883 Magazine” called it a successful debut; “Features & Gigs” noticed the dynamic changes between deep bass, high-energy dance tracks, and quiet sections during the London performance; after the performance at the French Days Off Festival, “Sound of Violence” believed that this live performance was more free compared to AURORA’s highly programmed solo performances in the past and also showed a stronger sense of live performance.
From the current live performance, TOMORA is closer to a complete audio-visual work: electronic sounds, live vocals, lighting, imagery, and body movements together constitute different layers of the performance.
This Mid-Autumn Festival, TOMORA will arrive in China.
On September 25th and 27th, they will respectively take the stage at the Shijiazhuang and Guangzhou Super Strawberry Music Festival, bringing the live performance of their debut album “Come Closer” and completing their first performance in China.
For this limited group, which mainly presents at international music festival venues, this first performance in China will also become an important stop on its global live map.
Belle and Sebastian: Thirty Years of Classic Album, First Performance in Mainland China
Belle and Sebastian, from Glasgow, Scotland, is an important representative of independent pop music in the 1990s. The band was formed in 1996 and established a unique sound style with more reserved and delicate musical expression at the time when the Britpop wave swept across Britain.
The classic album “If You’re Feeling Sinister,” released in 1996, depicts the emotions, lives, and growth of ordinary people with delicate lyrics, light guitar, cello, and string arrangements. Thirty years later, this album still has a sustained influence in global independent music culture and has long appeared on multiple classic album charts.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of “If You’re Feeling Sinister,” and Belle and Sebastian will make their first performance in mainland China. On September 27th, the band will take the stage at the Guangzhou Super Strawberry Music Festival with a nine-member lineup, presenting the musical texture of this classic work live.
This is also the first time that Chinese mainland fans have listened to Belle and Sebastian’s performance live.
Einstürzende Neubauten: Pioneers of Experimental Industrial Music to China with their Full Band Line-up for the First Time
Formed in West Berlin in 1980, Einstürzende Neubauten is one of the bands that has had a significant influence in the fields of experimental music and industrial music. Since its inception, the band has continuously pushed the boundaries of traditional rock instruments, incorporating steel plates, metal, mechanical devices, and various non-traditional instruments into their compositions and live performances, gradually establishing a unique sound system.
From the exploration of noise and industrial sounds in their early works to the more complex and restrained sound structures that followed, Einstürzende Neubauten has consistently redefined the boundaries between music and noise, instruments and non-instruments. The sounds of collisions, striking, friction, and mechanical operation are precisely arranged and controlled, becoming part of the musical structure.
On September 25th and 27th, Einstürzende Neubauten will bring their specially prepared equipment system to China for the first time in their full band line-up, performing at the Super Strawberry Music Festival in Shijiazhuang and Guangzhou, respectively, presenting a representative experimental live performance.
Phum Viphurit: Returning to the Strawberry Music Festival for the Third Consecutive Year
Phum Viphurit, born in Thailand and raised in New Zealand, is one of the music artists from Southeast Asia who has gained international attention in recent years. He blends elements of surf rock, funk, and indie pop in his compositions, creating a light, relaxed, and distinctly identifiable musical style.
In 2018, his song “Lover Boy” became one of his representative works, gaining widespread popularity worldwide; “Hello, Anxiety” delves into themes such as anxiety, self-acceptance, and coexistence with emotions, showcasing a more delicate side of music.
For Phum Viphurit, live performances have always been an essential part of his music. The upbeat rhythm, natural stage presence, and infectious live interaction bring his music to life in a way that differs from studio recordings.
On September 25th, Phum Viphurit will take the stage at the Strawberry Music Festival for the third consecutive year, bringing his classic works and latest live performances to the Shijiazhuang Super Strawberry Music Festival.
The Cribs: British Indie Rock Pioneers Make Their Debut at Strawberry Music Festival
The Cribs, a British band formed by the Jarman brothers Gary, Ryan, and Ross, has been active in the British indie rock scene since the early 2000s. With their direct guitar sound, strong rhythm, and energetic live performances, they have established a distinct musical style.
In 2008, legendary guitarist Johnny Marr joined The Cribs and participated in the creation and recording of the album “Ignore the Ignorant.” This collaboration became an important chapter in the band’s development.
In January 2026, The Cribs released their new album “Selling A Vibe.” The new work continues the band’s tradition of direct and tense composition, while also continuing to focus on personal emotions, social issues, and the relationship between brothers, showing the band’s ongoing creative vitality.
On September 25th, The Cribs will make their debut appearance on the Shijiazhuang Super Strawberry Music Festival stage, bringing new album tracks and classic songs. This will also be the band’s first time participating in the Strawberry Music Festival.
The Vaccines: Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of Their Debut Album, Returning to Stages in Two Cities
The Vaccines, a London-based band, is one of the important guitar rock bands in the UK since the 2010s. The band gained rapid attention with the release of their debut album “What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?” in 2011, with songs like “If You Wanna” and “Post Break-Up Sex” becoming the band’s most representative tracks.
The Vaccines are known for their simple and direct guitar arrangements, distinct melodies, and highly concise song structures. To many Chinese music fans, The Vaccines are not unfamiliar. In 2017, the band participated in the Shanghai Super Strawberry Music Festival.
After many years, The Vaccines will return to China with a tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album. On September 25th and 27th, they will respectively take to the stages of the Shijiazhuang and Guangzhou Super Strawberry Music Festivals, bringing classic tracks from their debut album and other representative works of the band.
