British indie rock band The Cribs will kick off their China tour in September 2026, themed around their 25th anniversary, bringing a special commemorative performance. The tour will stop in Hangzhou and Shanghai, where the band will perform highlights from across their career alongside new songs from their latest album, Selling A Vibe.

Formed in 2001 and made up of the three Jarman brothers, The Cribs are widely regarded as one of the most vital and influential bands in British indie rock. From the lo-fi sound of their self-titled debut to the polished yet powerful Selling A Vibe, they have consistently brought a raw and direct musical energy to the stage. Their distinctive balance between melody and noise has remained one of the band’s most compelling trademarks.

Over the past 25 years, The Cribs have collaborated with a number of notable musicians, including Franz Ferdinand vocalist Alex Kapranos, Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo, and legendary guitarist Johnny Marr. Yet at the heart of the band, it has always been the same three people sharing the same surname. Their ninth studio album, Selling A Vibe, released this year, closes with Brothers Won’t Break—a fitting reflection on the bond between the three brothers after 25 years together.
