British electronic musician, producer, and DJ Four Tet will make his long-awaited China debut in November 2018 with performances in Shanghai and Beijing, presented by Resonate Cities. The tour follows the release of his latest album, New Energy, and marks his first-ever live performances in Mainland China.

Performing under the name Four Tet, Kieran Hebden has established himself as one of the most influential figures in contemporary electronic music since launching his solo project in 1998. Blending electronic music with folk, jazz, world music, and ambient influences, his acclaimed albums — including Pause, Rounds, Everything Ecstatic, and There Is Love In You — have received widespread praise from publications such as Pitchfork, NME, and BBC, while helping define the emerging Folktronica sound.

Beyond his solo work, Four Tet has collaborated with artists including Steve Reid, Thom Yorke, The xx, Bonobo, and Aphex Twin, while also touring with Radiohead. A regular performer at Boiler Room, Glastonbury, Creamfields, and Sónar, he has earned international acclaim for live performances that seamlessly combine intricate production with an immersive atmosphere.

Released in 2017, New Energy continues Four Tet’s exploration of texture, melody, and rhythm, combining ambient soundscapes with organic instrumentation and subtle electronic grooves. The upcoming China tour will offer audiences their first opportunity to experience one of electronic music’s most innovative live performers in an intimate setting. Joining the tour as the special guest is Chinese electronic artist SHAO, the first Chinese artist signed to the legendary German label Tresor. Known for blending techno with Eastern musical influences, SHAO will perform at both dates, bringing an additional dimension to the tour.
