The Kooks Announce Their First-Ever China Headline Tour

Presented by Resonate Cities

British indie rock band The Kooks have announced their first-ever headline tour in China, with performances in Beijing and Shanghai in November 2019. The tour marks the band’s first full-set headline shows in the country and follows the release of their latest album, Let’s Go Sunshine, their first studio album in four years.

Formed in Brighton in 2003, The Kooks were founded by vocalist and songwriter Luke Pritchard, guitarist Hugh Harris, bassist Max Rafferty, and drummer Paul Garred. Blending Britpop, indie rock, pop rock, and reggae influences, the band quickly established itself as one of the defining acts of the new generation of British guitar music.

Their 2006 debut album, Inside In / Inside Out, sold more than two million copies worldwide and featured enduring favourites including Naive, She Moves In Her Own Way, and Ooh La. The album earned nominations at the BRIT Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, and Q Awards, while its follow-up, Konk, debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, further cementing the band’s place in contemporary British rock.

此次中国巡演将带来经典作品以及最新专辑 《Let’s Go Sunshine》 中的全新曲目,让中国观众首次近距离感受 The Kooks 标志性的英伦吉他声音与充满活力的现场演出。
