RITUAL DAY is the first dark metal band in China with documented history, founded in Beijing in August 2000, an event that can be regarded as a milestone in the history of Chinese metal music. Unlike most Chinese metal bands that were primarily active in Beijing at the time, RITUAL DAY's music from the very beginning combined the destructiveness of traditional extreme metal with the melancholic and poetic literary quality.
