Legendary alternative rock band Pixies will return to China in May 2026 as part of their Pixies 40 world tour, celebrating four decades of groundbreaking music with Chinese audiences.

The band’s China itinerary includes performances at Beijing Strawberry Music Festival on 2 May, Dongguan Strawberry Music Festival on 4 May, followed by a headline show at VAS est in Shanghai on 6 May. Together, the three performances will showcase music spanning Pixies’ remarkable forty-year career.
Formed in Boston in 1986, Pixies are widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in alternative rock. Featuring founding members Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering, alongside bassist Emma Richardson, the band continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its unmistakable sound and explosive live performances as part of the Pixies 40 tour.

From Come On Pilgrim, Surfer Rosa, and Doolittle to Bossanova and Trompe le Monde, Pixies have shaped generations of musicians and helped redefine alternative rock. Since reuniting in 2004, the band has continued to release acclaimed new music while performing at major festivals and venues around the world, further cementing their enduring legacy.
